'I've got quite a big nose so watch out.'
They're throwing the skittles over his head. Which makes him quite a game sort of bloke really. |

Some cheery people |
Look at these happy festival-goers! One of them gave us some of her pear cider which was very kind. We promptly repaid them by nearly making off with their mate's lighter. That is just not good manners - the drug dealer from earlier would never have made such an error. |

Alcohol bus |
Buses are quite popular this year you may have noticed. There's the Superdrug one as well, but as there was an hour queue we couldn't be arsed to hang about, so we'll try again later this week.
Pimms is utterly gorgeous, but you do have to make sure you have the proper fruit and veg in there. A good amount of mint, lemon, orange, cucumber and strawberries as well if you have them. Lovely. We're still not paying a tenner for a rug though, however nice the promoted beverage in question may taste. |

By the seaside at the Acoustic Stage |
Last year's new music stage, the bandstand has this year turned into the Acoustic Stage. We think this was Iain Archer playing unless our line-up sheet lied to us, but whoever it was - two chaps with a guitar and a keyboard - they were playing some mighty nice songs. So well done them. |

Only boring people don't ride Carousels |
We set up a trend here. We were the only people on the darn thing, and then shortly afterwards everyone suddenly decided it was an ACE idea and clambered on too. Mind, the sight of two people laughing their arses off probably helped: let's not be having any of that "Oh dear, I'm too grown-up to go on a golden horse" crap. Charles and Diana are the finest horses around, we're telling you.
People should totally go on old school fairground rides more often: we're taking this opportunity to plug our childhood/teenage/current haunt in Hampshire, Hollycombe Steam Collection, which has loads of the things. Very dangerous, no seat belts, totally awesome. Go for the Steam Boat first. |
